Not only that they all sell out pretty quickly, but also the resellers manage to sell every pair for twice as much money than the original price. The legacy Nike created around the Dunk appears to be headed for another peak. In the past we have already seen numerous Dunks in classic colourways return to the big stage, especially the ones made for skateboarding. Recently, everyone’s favorite shoe becamE Nike Dunk Low. The shoe made it’s comeback from the 2010’s with it’s simple yet effective silhouette, which continues to gain popularity every day. So what made them so popular and how were they invented? Nike Dunk Low History

To understand the hype behind the Dunk sneakers, you must now the diffrences between the models. First dunks were made by Peter Moore in 1985, and they were Nike Dunk Highs, endorsed as college shoes or basketball shoes, made in university colors. Later on, in the 90s skate culture became extremly popular that Nike decided to make Nike Skateboarding shoes introduced with the low-top silhouette. This silhouette became so popular that the ones that couldn’t get their hands on them, often searched for similar ones at thrift stores. From basketball and skateboard shoes, the Dunks became a must-have lifestyle sneaker. The newest addition to the Dunk’s family is the Disrupt series, featuring a modern and a bit boxier silhouette than the originals. It is safe to say that from the moment of the release to this day, the Dunks have always held the title of the most comfortable and stylish shoes.

Nike Dunk Low Design

The biggest charachteristic of the classic Dunk models is the the two-tone color scheme. The exception is when Nike collaborates with other brands like Off-White or celebrities like Travis Scott, then you can see bolder prints and colourways of this signature silhouette. The clean lines of the shoe are made from leather with overlays and woven tongue and heel tab. A very simple yet effective design. The most popular Dunk Low releases are: ‘Championship Purple’, ‘Team Red’, ‘Coconut Milk’, ‘USA’, ‘3D Swoosh’ and more. They come in almost every colourway, from red, green, blue, violet to various hues of white, beige and brown.

Nike Dunk Low ‘Panda’ Design

With so many releases with special boxes, hidden gimmicks, pages of stories and crazy materials, it’s good to dive back into simple realms with a sneaker like the Nike Dunk Low ‘Panda’. Because with this model in particular, it doesn’t take much to be an eye-catcher. The black and white Dunk sneaker is made of leather, which is even perforated on the toe box, leaving a sporty yet elegant impression. The Swoosh branding flows through the lateral and medial side panels. The Nike branding is also embroided on the tongue and heel. In addition, the Nike Panda dunks can be worn with any outfit, which makes them very versatile, stylish and trendy, precisely because they are so simple.
