Famous for its picture-perfect landscape, Santorini has been immortalized by many world-famous poets and painters over the years. This legendary Greek island in the Cyclades dazzles with its colorful rocks that rise from the sea, white-washed houses, romantic sunsets, and volcanic beaches, creating energy that overwhelms all senses.
If you are searching for peace, tranquility, and comfort, we strongly recommend the Noūs Santorini resort.
This fabulous five-star luxury resort is located in the charming village of Mesaria, which blends Santorini’s history with contemporary flair. If you prefer to be away from the crazy nightlife but still have everything you need, this is the perfect spot. Set in a landscape awash with vegetation, it feels like an oasis on its own island of splendor.
Thanks to its central location, the hotel is a perfect nest to explore the island—ideally with a scooter that can take you to any location in less than 30 minutes. The Santorini International Airport is just 2.5km (5 min) away. At the same time, the picturesque city of Oia and the island’s capital town, Fira, are 17 km (a 24 min drive) and 3 km (7 min) away, respectively. The most famous of Santorini beaches, the Red beach, is 11 km away. In contrast, the Monolithos beach, with fine black sand, is located 2.7 km away from the hotel.
A world-class Mediterranean destination, NOŪS is operated by Yes! Hotels group, the contemporary brand of Donkey Hotels Group owned by the family of art collector and businessman Dakis Joannou. The group’s first destination away from Athens, NOŪS is built on the pillars of Young, Enthusiastic, Seductive, that define the hospitality philosophy of Yes! Hotels. With its unique design, original art, and authentic style, it offers experiences and creates memories that last forever.
Architecture & Design
Envisioned by an award-winning architecture practice, Divercity Architects, in collaboration with MplusM Architects, the resort strongly references the traditional architecture of Santorini, reinterpreted in a contemporary way. Playing with geometric shapes and volumes, NOUS creates a built landscape that follows the slope of the natural ground.
When it comes to interior design, elegance and modernity are the keywords. However, all the materials, styles, and textures are inspired by the ones that already exist on the island. The color palette is defined by the world-famous murals from the archaeological site of Akrotiri, while the materials and textures refer to the island’s volcanic landscape and its famous vineyards. Art Curator Nadia Argyropoulou has selected an extensive collection of contemporary artworks, as well as well-known design icons by Doshi & Levien, Konstantin Grcic, Faye Toogood, etc.
Like all the member hotels of the Yes! Hotels Group, NOŪS is a member of the prestigious Design Hotels.
