Fashion brand FABIANA FILIPPI presented its Spring Summer 2023 Womenswear Collection, that was inspired by the geometry and its purest form, the triangle, on Thursday, September 22nd, during the ongoing Milan Fashion Week. The collection explores geometry with shape and proportion, it transforms feminine silhouette, and it minimizes but repeats structural elements to add texture and volume. For the season the brand fuses femininity and looseness and brings a relaxed attitude of great allure. The pieces are made from sustainable materials such as organic cotton, upcycled technical fabrics, and pure naturally dyed linen, in bright tones such as shades of fuchsia, mimosa, seaweed, sky and toffee.
SPRING SUMMER 2023 COLLECTIONS
“Brightness and freshness dominate, thanks to the skilful use of iridescent fabrics and jewel details that embellish the garments. Corners and lines meet on colourful double-faced fabrics creating a dynamic effect, emphasized by oversize square pockets and layered seams that define the figure without weighing it down. Fabiana Filippi’s summer interpretation of new knit and jersey tailoring finds its fullest expression in jackets, whose square volumes are refined by soft organic natural yarns and folded edges. Knitwear is represented as usual by a very rich variety of shapes, weights and workmanship with a three-dimensional effect, sculpting the body through a material interplay of geometries.
Denim is a great novelty in terms of both washes and fits, and is declined not only in classic five-pockets, but also in mini-skirts, jackets and dresses with frayed profiles.Bermuda shorts, the collection’s new must-have, is interpreted in the most diverse yarns, turning into a key wardrobe item. The dresses, with fluid and sensual volumes, are designed in the sign of versatility, lending themselves to the most diverse interpretations through styling and the choice of accessories, in which the triangle once again prevails: in the heels and precious details of the sandals, in the modern cut-outs of the super-light sneakers, in the bags proposed in mini and maxi volumes.” – from Fabiana Filippi
