Kylie Minogue‘s newest single, Padam Padam, made its debut on Spotify and a number of other streaming services minutes ago. The news of the new album, followed by the unexpected drop of her new single caused her devoted fanbase to go into a frenzy. The Australian music icon, who is 54 years old, has revealed that the release date for her newest album, Tension, will be September 22.

Kylie’s fresh new studio album, titled “Tension,” will be made available for purchase on the 22nd of September. This album is full of ecstatic, empowered dance floor bangers and sensuous pop cuts. The album ‘Tension’ consists of eleven tracks that are unabashedly pleasure-seeking, seize-the-moment, joyous pop melodies. The album begins with the mesmerizing electro track ‘Padam Padam’. The striking video is work of director Sophie Muller.
“I started this album with an open mind and a blank page. Unlike my last two albums there wasn’t a “theme,” it was about finding the heart or the fun or the fantasy of that moment and always trying to service the song. I wanted to celebrate each song’s individuality and to dive into that freedom. I would say it’s a blend of personal reflection, club abandon and melancholic high,” shares Kylie with the press.
This album is physically available as a Deluxe CD, a limited edition gatefold silver vinyl, and a limited edition transparent orange vinyl. Minogue’s comeback also signals a return to the tour circle. With Kylie expected to announce her Tension tour dates close to the album release.
