Discover AZ FACTORY Couture Presentation with Lora Sonney, powered by Jakob Schlaepfer. Designer Lora Sonney is the newest member of AZ Factory‘s esteemed lineup of Amigos. Fashion brand AZ Factory hopes to establish a discussion between newer generations and the ageless traditions of Couture while exploring the themes of limited edition and customization, in keeping with their legacy of supporting young and creative individuals throughout Haute Couture week.
Following the success of Cyril Bourez last year and Tennessy Thoreson in January, the brand welcomed Lora Sonney, a recent graduate of Geneva’s Head Master Program in 2021 and a Hyeres 2022 finalist. Lora’s holistic approach, knowledge of textile processes, distinct aesthetic vision, dedication to sustainability, and inventive use of materials have captured and fascinated the AZ Factory Team. Lora Sonney is inspired by utilitarian clothing found in nature and translates them into the concept of a second skin. The inclusion of nature’s codes into her creations provides both beauty and disruption. Sonney’s unique textures and prints blend well with AZ Factory‘s iconic ruffled volumes.
Lora teamed with Maison Jackob Schlaepfer, a renowned Swiss textile maker recognized for its excellent craftsmanship and endless possibilities, to elevate her style and bring her ideas to the realm of couture. The collection, which consists of ten beautifully produced looks inspired by nature, was shown in an intimate exhibition as part of the Haute Couture Events Calendar on July 3rd, 2023, in the picturesque surroundings of Fondation Cartier’s garden.
