London-based fashion brand COS unveiled its Fall Winter 2023 campaign, that pays homage to the brand’s design roots, delivering a fresh take on timeless fashion with a consistent devotion to meticulous craftsmanship, subtle details, and modern tailoring.
This season celebrates a diverse group of talented individuals, who bring the collection to life. Among them are Kelela, a singer-songwriter and producer; Curtis Harding, a musician, singer-songwriter, and actor; Will Poulter and Havana Rose Liu, actrors; and models América González, Vika Evseeva, Dara Gueye, Taemin Park, and Selena Forrest.
The campaign, shot by fashion photographer Daniel Jackson and set against a comfortable studio backdrop, showcases each person’s distinct attitude, wonderfully capturing the spirit of the season. The breathtaking photographs highlight the brand’s immaculate craftsmanship and excellence, exuding a feeling of timelessness, resilience, and self-assurance. In charge of styling was Jane How, with hair styling from Shon Hyungsun Ju, and makup by beauty artist Petros Pethrohilos.
COS Fall Winter 2023 Collection and campaign aim to empower the wearer. Prominent shoulders create a daring statement, and RWS wool maxi-coats are designed to be worn loosely. Layering with care emphasizes shape and balance, highlighting unique and sophisticated tailored fits. Casual elements like kick flares and slouched menswear pants add a relaxed edge to formal attire. Classic tailoring is reworked through innovative deconstruction and reconstruction, resulting in unexpected shapes: low-rise pants with flipped waistbands are combined with cropped, tattered jackets, and classic pinstripes are given an asymmetrical twist with draping.
Nature’s colours continue to influence the color scheme for the season. Tranquil neutrals like natural oatmeal beautifully offset shades of camel and brown, enhanced with custom floral patterns. Playing with contrasts, sleek surfaces juxtapose textured shearing, and elaborate embroidery and quilting add flair to distinctive leather accessories.
