Swarovski has unveiled its Holiday 2023 campaign, titled Celebrate Wonder, a dazzling journey into the endless creative possibilities of Swarovski crystal. Captured by renowned fashion photographer Steven Meisel, the campaign features a series of unique portraits that bring to life the sparkle and wonder of the festive season. Stars of the campaign are Diane Chiu, Karolina Spakowski, Mila van Eeten, Nyawurh Chuol, and Sora Choi. In charge of styling was Karl Templer, with creative direction from Giovanna Engelbert, and casting direction by Piergiorgio Del Moro. Beauty is work of hair stylist Guido Palau, makeup artist Pat McGrath, and manicurist Jin Soon Choi.
The campaign showcases five distinct personalities, each representing and inspired by Swarovski’s iconic jewelry collections. Blue Gema dazzles with blue and clear crystals that emit a dreamy light, while Mesmera Stardust shines in hypnotic designs perfect for after-dark glamour. Matrix Supernova exudes a tough and edgy vibe, glowing with the magnetic beauty of clear crystals. Punk Luna lights up the night with moon-inspired motifs, channeling a mystical energy. And Hyperbola Nebula stands out with green crystals that vibrate energy through their interwoven strands.
This new chapter in the Crystal Metamorphosis story sees the characters ignited by the magic of the festive season, transforming into shimmering jewelry pieces that showcase Swarovski’s joyful extravagance, savoir-faire, and mastery of light.
Giovanna Engelbert, Swarovski’s Creative Director, emphasizes that the campaign is a celebration of infinite self-expression and creativity, a hallmark of Swarovski. Her vision was to portray women with distinct looks and personalities transforming into the jewelry pieces they wear.
