Are Bottega Veneta’s Home Items Worth the Extravagant Price Tag?

For those who thought their money was just too pesky.

In a bold move that answers the question, “What else can I possibly spend my money on?” Bottega Veneta has launched its first home goods collection. This array of 80 items, ranging from the essential (if you consider personalized playing cards a basic need) to the extravagant (leather laundry baskets, because why not?), is sure to have something for everyone – provided ‘everyone’ includes those with a penchant for the peculiarly pricey.

DESIGN

Leading the pack in this parade of opulence are Bottega’s leather goods. The collection features such necessities as leather trays, braided banana trays (because your bananas deserve only the best), and cassette boxes. Who knew one needed a leather paper basket? But in a world where extravagance knows no bounds, why settle for a mere plastic bin?

The pièce de résistance of this collection might just be the Intreccio Nappa animal figurines – a rabbit, snake, dinosaur, and donkey, each perched on a wooden stand as if to say, “Yes, I am a luxury leather donkey on a stand, your argument is invalid.” And let’s not forget about our furry friends – the collection includes an array of Intreccio pet accessories, because your dog definitely knows the difference between Bottega Veneta leather and the pedestrian pet store variety.

For the cozy inclined, Bottega offers Countryside Blankets crafted from wool with calfskin leather patching, because nothing says ‘countryside’ quite like calfskin. There’s also a variety of blankets and cushions, including the Intrecciato Padded leather cushions – perfect for those who find regular fabric cushions just too pedestrian.

Now, for the gaming enthusiasts with money to burn, the Playing Card Set is priced at a mere $620 USD. It comes in black and red colorways and includes two custom decks in a pocket-sized leather cover – because who hasn’t thought, “My playing cards would be so much better in leather”? And for the more traditionally inclined, there’s a backgammon set housed in leather casing for $6,300 USD. But wait, there’s more – a decorative domino set with tiles made from Veneto-region clay, because regular dominoes are just so last season.

So, if your pockets are feeling too heavy and your home too mundane, fear not! Bottega Veneta’s home collection is here to solve all your high-fashion home goods problems. Peek at the standout items in their gallery, and prepare to lighten those wallets on Bottega Veneta’s webstore. Remember, nothing says ‘home sweet home’ quite like a leather banana tray.
