The CFCL VOL.8 Collection, presented at their first Paris Fashion Week runway show during the Womenswear Fall Winter 2024 season, had a dedicated approach to knitwear. The collection, revealed at the Palais de Tokyo, was accompanied by a performance by a string quartet composed by Hristina Šušak. The collection intertwined sporty elegance with the versatility of knitwear, transitioning from high-energy moments to the tranquility of everyday life.
At the heart of the Collection lies the theme of “Cadence,” a concept of rhythm in daily life that inspired the knitwear designs. This theme emphasizes the material’s inherent fluidity and adaptability, and also its capacity to embrace a broad spectrum of body sizes and gender expressions. CFCL’s approach to knitwear, viewing it as a vessel of functionality (“ware”), creates garments that follow the wearer’s personal rhythm, offering support through the ebb and flow of daily activities. The collection’s minimalist elegance is without extraneous ornamentation.
Diving into the collection’s specifics, CFCL introduced several series, each with a distinct narrative and aesthetic. The MILAN RIB series offers versatility for both casual and formal occasions. The MESH series introduces a sporty yet refined texture, while the HYPHA series captivates with its three-dimensional shapes and textured appearance. VELOUR brings warmth and luxury through its plush texture, and the ENCHANT series dazzles with meticulously hand-sewn sequins.
