This weekend in Paris, amidst the whirlwind of Fashion Week, the Swiss fashion house VETEMENTS, under the creative direction of Guram Gvasalia, staged what can be described as a monumental return to the catwalks for their Fall Winter 2024 Collection. Celebrating its tenth anniversary, VETEMENTS’ latest show wasn’t merely another mark on the official Fashion Week calendar but rather “THE SHOW.“
This event marked the brand’s comeback after a break, pulling in an notable crowd that included icons like Cher, who was there not just to witness Guram’s latest creations but also to support her boyfriend, Alexander Edwards, as he walked the runway. The casting further had notable names like Marcia Cross, Carmen Kass, and Anwar Hadid.
The VETEMENTS Fall Winter 2024 collection was nothing short of a spectacle, combining oversized trends with an avant-garde crinkled effect across a range of sporty and urban pieces. Guram Gvasalia’s affection for tailoring was shown with oversized suits featuring large shoulder pads and lapels, crafted from rich fabrics to create a powerful, monochromatic, and timeless look.
