
It looks like Nike and .SWOOSH are blurring the lines between digital and physical with their latest Air Force 1 Low โ404 Errorโ edition. This collaboration uses the universally recognized blue screen error message to play with the sneaker narrative and design. The choice of vibrant Racer Blue patent for the upper, devoid of seams and emphasizing a minimalist design that also mimics the aesthetics of shoes in video games and cartoons, is a bold step away from the Air Force 1 Low’s traditional look.

The design details include the โ404 Errorโ message on the heel and the tech-inspired touches on the insoles and packaging. โ404 Error, the requested upper was not found. Try again.โ ย is a word play on the popular web error code, here used to indicate the ‘digitally’ missing part of the familiar silhouette as well as the nature of this collaboration with .SWOOSH, which is predominantly a part of virtual culture.
