Casey Cadwallader’s debut footwear series for Mugler showcases a bold departure into design that is marked by sharp architectural lines and distinctive textures, echoing the brand’s iconic ready-to-wear aesthetics. Crafted in Italy, the collection introduces the striking ‘Fang’ heel, featuring a sculptural chrome metal design that accentuates its slightly flared, pointed, and angular stiletto shape. Available in two heights, 95mm and 55mm, the heel is complemented by a pointed toe, made to elongate the wearer’s silhouette, embodying Mugler’s signature style.
Drawing inspiration from the corsetry, a hallmark of the brand, the collection includes an array of semi-transparent mesh pumps, ankle boots, and knee-high boots. Each design pays homage to the brand’s heritage while infusing a modern twist. The sandals in the series boast a chrome metal pointed toe plate, decorated with strapped buckles that elegantly crisscross and frame the foot.
Adding an element of illusion, the series offers mesh pairs in three distinct tones, including the timeless appeal of black. Additionally, the collection features sandals, mules, and ankle boots crafted from luxurious calf leather, available in a palette of black, chrome metallic, and classic medium blue denim. With its diverse range of styles and textures, the collection caters to the multifaceted preferences of Mugler enthusiasts, offering options suitable for various occasions and tastes.
Priced between 590€ and 1430€, ‘The Fang Heel’ series is set to debut on April 8th, 2024, available for purchase online, as well as through select specialty stores worldwide. With its fusion of avant-garde design, the collection highlights Mugler’s commitment to pushing boundaries and redefining contemporary fashion.
