Puma teams up with Blackpink's Rosé to breathe new life into their iconic classics

Rosé is the new face of PUMA

Sportswear brand PUMA has announced an exciting new partnership with Rosé, a member of BLACKPINK, the globally renowned South Korean girl group famed for their record-breaking sales. This collaboration promises to fuse Rosé’s unique style and influence with PUMA’s iconic sportswear legacy, introducing a new era for the brand’s classic collections.

Rosé, known for her powerful presence in the K-pop scene and her distinct fashion sense, will bring her creative vision to PUMA’s global campaigns. Her role will focus on enhancing PUMA’s iconic silhouettes and contributing to the “Rewrite the Classics” initiative. This program aims to refresh and modernize PUMA’s most timeless designs, making them relevant for today’s fashion-forward audience.

Expressing her enthusiasm for this new venture, Rosé remarked on her excitement to collaborate with PUMA and engage her fans in this new journey. She joins a prestigious list of PUMA ambassadors, including industry heavyweights like Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Dua Lipa, and Skepta.

She kicks off her role with the PUMA Palermo, adding her unique touch to the iconic sneaker, and will continue to spotlight other key pieces in the Sportstyle category.

Maria Valdes, PUMA’s Chief Product Officer, highlighted Rosé’s significant impact on music, fashion, and culture. She emphasized that Rosé’s fresh perspective and creative insight would play a crucial role in reimagining PUMA’s classic offerings. Valdes expressed her excitement about the collaboration, anticipating the innovative contributions Rosé will bring to the brand’s storytelling and product development.

Rosé’s journey into music began at a young age, driven by her passion for singing and songwriting. Her musical talents were nurtured through learning piano and guitar, leading to her eventual rise in the K-pop world. In 2021, Rosé released her debut solo album, ‘R,’ which included the hit single “On the Ground.” This track broke records for the most-viewed music video by a solo K-pop artist on YouTube within 24 hours. Also, Rosé has received numerous awards, including a Hanteo Music Award and a Mnet Asian Music Award, and she made history by topping the Billboard Global 200 chart both as a solo artist and with BLACKPINK.
