Luxury house Gucci unveiled its new Horsebit fine jewelry collection, designed by Sabato De Sarno, that marks the 20th anniversary of this iconic line. This collection, deeply rooted in Gucci’s equestrian heritage, features a sophisticated array of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. Each piece showcases the Horsebit motif, an emblem that has become synonymous with the House’s luxury and craftsmanship.
The Horsebit design, originally introduced in the 1940s, draws inspiration from the world of horseback riding. This motif, characterized by its distinctive hardware resembling a horse’s bit, has evolved from a practical equestrian accessory to a symbol of elegance and prestige in the fashion world. In 2004, the Horsebit design made its debut in the world of fine jewelry. This year’s anniversary collection honors this evolution with a contemporary take on the iconic motif.
The collection includes pieces crafted from yellow gold and rose gold, some adorned with diamonds, which add a touch of opulence. The necklaces feature delicate chains and pendants with the Horsebit design, exuding a timeless charm. The bracelets, available in various styles, offer both simplicity and intricacy, suitable for any occasion. The earrings and rings, with their elegant lines and subtle details, complete the collection, making each piece a statement of refined luxury.
The accompanying campaign, photographed by Deo Suveera and Pamela Dimitrov, encapsulates the deep connection between Gucci and the equestrian world. The campaign features a diverse cast, including Agel Akol, Ana Rossolovich, Chloe Oh, and Achille Genet, who embody the collection’s sophisticated allure. The juxtaposition of these models with captivating close-ups of horses emphasizes the grace and power inherent in both the jewelry and the equestrian lifestyle.
