Fashion house SARAWONG presents its Spring Summer 2025 collection, drawing inspiration from the ancient Chinese literary masterpiece “The Peach Blossom Spring” by Tao Yuanming. This collection examines the utopian ideals of peace and harmony, exploring a world untouched by conflict or material concerns. It translates the dream of living in balance with nature and community into a refined fashion narrative.
Creative Director Sara Wong channels the essence of “The Peach Blossom Spring” into each design, aiming to cultivate serenity through nature-inspired aesthetics. The collection embodies the spirit of an idealized world, where purity, simplicity, and romanticism flourish. The narrative is enhanced by floral motifs that carry symbolic weight. Lotus, representing purity and rebirth, appears in elegant embroidery, while peach blossoms – synonymous with prosperity – infuse the designs with vibrant energy. Myrtle and begonia flowers are featured, symbolizing peace, fertility, and love, adding emotional depth to the collection.
The fabrics play a critical role in expressing SARAWONG’s vision of utopia. Acetate satin, with its lustrous finish, provides fluidity to the silhouettes, while mulberry silk linen brings a soft, breathable quality, perfect for the warmer seasons. High-end silk offers a touch of luxury without compromising on the collection’s overall lightness. Each material is chosen to reflect the collection’s underlying themes of renewal and tranquility, bringing comfort and sophistication to the wearer.
