Courrèges FW25 Combines Geometry with motorcycle culture

From Piacentino to the biker jacket, Courrèges FW25 redefines classics

For the FW25 men’s and women’s pre-collection, Courrèges invites us into a world shaped by circles, cycles, and motorcycles, where these elements define both the visual language and mood of the collection. Stripping away the sharp angles of last season’s Carré Magique, Nicolas Di Felice introduces a softer yet equally powerful vision with Cercle Magique. The collection embodies geometric shapes that reflect both passion and abstraction, capturing the architectural essence of the Courrèges brand. The iconic circular forms redefine the geometric wardrobe, offering a fluid design that echoes the boldness and refinement of modern subcultures.

This season, Di Felice draws inspiration from Gianni Piacentino, a conceptual artist of the mid-70s known for combining minimalist approaches with a fearless devotion to motorcycles. Piacentino’s influence is evident in the biker-inspired constructions and details that dominate the collection. From embossed logo sleeves to snap-collar jerseys and strapped slipper boots, the designs incorporate biker wear elements with a modern twist. These deconstructed features bring a rebellious spirit to the collection, blending the rawness of biker culture with high-fashion craftsmanship. The black vinyl patchwork skirts, accessories, and outerwear evoke car upholstery and a sense of hidden desires, emphasizing the untamed energy central to Courrèges.

The biker motif is central to the season’s narrative, embodying both the practicality of workwear and the symbolic nature of subcultures. Like the trucker jacket, bomber, tracksuit, or baseball cap, the biker is both functional and rebellious, serving as an essential part of daywear while reflecting a more countercultural edge. Courrèges continues to elevate the ordinary, reworking these core elements into fashion-forward statements that resonate with both past and contemporary styles.

A standout piece in the collection is the Holy Eclipse Bag, a new take on the classic Holy bag. With its baguette-like silhouette, it is designed for the night, featuring a removable harness strap that can carry over-layers or keep belongings secure in chaotic settings, like a heated mosh pit. The bag offers both function and style, perfectly suited for adventurous nights out. Pairing with heavy leather pieces and a black lace turtleneck, the bag’s clever arm pocket offers a hidden space to safely store essentials, making it as practical as it is stylish.

Courrèges’ commitment to texture and sensuality shines through in its under-layers, introducing a playful femininity to the collection. Micro-stud details, nude-illusion tattoo mesh, and bonded écru lace work together to create tactile layers that enhance the body’s curves while maintaining the geometric focus. Embossed snakeskin bralets add an edgy yet refined touch, contributing to the intricate femininity at the heart of the collection. These elements balance the bold geometric aesthetic, blending sensuality and rebellion.

In the FW25 pre-collection, Courrèges successfully combines cycles, circles, and motorcycles to create a wardrobe that speaks to both elegance and rebellion. This collection is a testament to the brand’s ability to blend geometry with passion, function with creativity, while continuously redefining its iconic codes. Courrèges remains at the forefront of fashion by taking timeless influences and reinventing them with modern sophistication.
