Prada continues to set the bar for sustainable luxury with the launch of its 2025 Re-Nylon Collection, a groundbreaking initiative that turns plastic waste from oceans and landfills into regenerated nylon. This innovative approach underscores the brand’s dedication to environmental responsibility and forward-thinking design, positioning Prada as a leader in circular fashion.

In partnership with National Geographic CreativeWorks, Prada has released its third series of films exploring the origins and impact of the Re-Nylon initiative. Featuring notable actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Sadie Sink, alongside SEA BEYOND ambassadors Valentina Gottlieb and Giovanni Chimienti, the documentaries shed light on the pressing issue of marine pollution. The series highlights Prada’s innovative solutions, providing a global perspective on the importance of sustainable practices.

At the heart of the Re-Nylon Collection is Econyl, a regenerated nylon derived from recycled plastic waste. This material allows Prada to reduce its dependence on virgin resources while maintaining the brand’s high standards for quality and craftsmanship. The initiative reflects Prada’s ongoing commitment to integrating sustainability into its design ethos and production processes.

The collection comprises 191 designed pieces, among the highlights are the Re-Nylon bucket hat, Saffiano leather backpack, and duffle bag, primarily presented in classic black with Prada’s iconic triangular logo. Two standout items in “Bottle Green” and “Aviator Blue” bring a touch of vibrancy to the otherwise timeless palette, offering something unique for environmentally conscious fashion enthusiasts.
