This sophisticated system not only increases the responsiveness of the shoe but also pushes the limits of what can be achieved with Nike’s air technology, providing unparalleled cushioning and mobility.
Jonathan Kosenick, Nike’s Lead Designer for Men’s Sportswear, explained the company’s vision for the Dn8: “For the Dn8, we wanted to be lower to the ground. We wanted to feel more Air. We wanted to improve transition.” To achieve these goals, the design team placed eight air chambers directly in contact with the ground, allowing for greater compression and flexibility. This results in a bouncier, more resilient feel that combines the performance benefits of athletic footwear with the everyday comfort that users desire.
The Air Max Dn8’s innovative design includes a rear Air unit that features two chambers, each with two tubes, tuned to different pressures to enhance the flow of air and ensure maximum comfort with every step.
