Nike and Ja Morant are teaming up once again with Swarovski for a highly anticipated release of the Ja 2 “Scratch Black Label” during NBA All-Star Weekend 2025. Following the success of last year’s Swarovski x Nike Ja 1, this new edition brings a refined yet attention-grabbing look, incorporating signature crystal detailing while maintaining a functional sneaker design.

Unlike the previous collaboration, which featured heavy embellishments, the “Scratch Black Label” takes a more measured approach. Crystals are applied strategically to key areas, including the lateral scratch graphics, the medial Swoosh, and the tongue branding. This restrained placement keeps the sneaker wearable while still embracing the luxury and exclusivity associated with Swarovski.

Ja 2 “Scratch Black Label” maintains a sleek yet understated foundation. The sneaker’s black suede, mesh, and synthetic upper provides a minimalist base, allowing the Swarovski crystal accents to take center stage. This contrast between matte and reflective textures enhances the overall aesthetic without overwhelming the design. One of the standout features is the lateral scratch graphic, which replaces traditional Nike branding with a slashed detail. Inside the tongue, a numbered tag identifies each pair as part of the limited 1,999-pair run of the IB3859-001 model.

A note included with early pairs confirms that this colorway is part of the Nike Black Label collection and is intended as a collector’s piece rather than a performance sneaker, making it a sought-after item for both sneaker enthusiasts and Morant fans alike.
