Jordan Brand is set to expand its “Rare Air” series with two new iterations of the Air Jordan 1 High OG, arriving in “Cinnabar” and “Deep Royal Blue.” Scheduled for release on April 5, 2025, these highly anticipated colorways bring fresh design elements to the classic silhouette. Priced at $180 USD, both pairs will be available through Nike SNKRS and select retailers, continuing the momentum of Jordan Brand’s celebratory lineup for the sneaker’s 40th anniversary.

The “Cinnabar” edition, a women’s-exclusive release, presents a sophisticated combination of sail, light bone, and red hues. Crafted with premium materials, the sneaker features shaggy suede Swooshes, two-tone laces, and a Wings logo on both sides of the collar, one reading “Air Jordan” and the other “Nike Air.” The off-white midsole complements the design’s vintage aesthetic, while the “Rare Air” branding on the sockliner reinforces its exclusive status.

On the other hand, the “Deep Royal Blue” iteration offers a bold contrast with its white leather base and rich blue overlays. Black Swooshes, gray suede collars, and subtle red accents at the base of the branding add depth to the design. Unlike the “Cinnabar” pair, this version features a “Nike Air” Wings logo exclusively on the lateral collar, distinguishing it within the Rare Air collection. A signature sockliner print completes the look, ensuring continuity across both releases.

These updates build on Jordan Brand’s commitment to reimagining its most beloved silhouettes with innovative branding. The return of the “Rare Air” series, previously seen on Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 4 models, continues to push the boundaries of what defines a classic sneaker. With unique details like special packaging and a reworked Wings logo, both the “Cinnabar” and “Deep Royal Blue” variations reinforce the brand’s focus on fresh storytelling.

While the model’s mainstream hype may have settled compared to past years, these iterations aim to reignite interest by offering collectors and new fans alike something distinctive. With their refined color blocking and textured details, these pairs showcase the brand’s ability to combine nostalgia with contemporary sneaker culture.
