At Paris Fashion Week, Kunihiko Morinaga introduced the world to ANREALAGE‘s FW25 collection, “SCREEN,” which redefines the boundaries between clothing and technology. This innovative line features garments that act as interactive displays, capable of altering their colors, patterns, and messages according to the wearer’s commands. The collection marks a significant step forward in making fashion an immersive and adaptable experience, blending digital innovation with traditional textile craftsmanship. Morinaga uses primarily black garments as the basis for this technological exploration, turning ordinary clothing into a dynamic platform for digital expression. These pieces, inspired by everything from historical sandwich-board advertising to slogan-centric T-shirts, are transformed into reactive displays that respond to their environment and user input. The ability for wearers to modify their attire in real-time comes from a sophisticated integration of downloadable RGB designs that change at a touch, illustrating a leap towards a future where fashion and digital technology are indistinguishable. The first act drew inspiration from digital realms with blocky, Roblox-avatar silhouettes and temporary light projections that later became permanent textile patterns. Sustainable technology was also a highlight, featuring eco-friendly prints and bio-based materials in the construction of the footwear, signaling a fusion of future-forward design and sustainability.

Further pushing the boundaries, ANREALAGE integrated garments knitted from LED yarns that shimmered with RGB colors, creating an interactive light show on the runway. As models moved, the garments changed, showcasing a fluidity that promises over 60 different visual experiences within half a minute. This spectacle underscored the potential of reactive fashion to provide not just beauty, but a dynamic form of personal expression. Since its inception, ANREALAGE has been at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technology with fashion. This collection continues that tradition, emphasizing garments as platforms for innovation and interaction. “SCREEN” doesn’t just offer clothes, it offers a vision of the future where fashion serves as a personal interface.
