Kyrie Irving and Anta continue their collaborative push with a new colorway of the ANTA KAI 2, set to release on March 23. The “Solar Return” edition arrives in time for Irving’s 33rd birthday and carries visual and conceptual cues tied to astrology, transformation, and renewal. Priced at $125, the sneaker will be available through ANTA’s official channels and select retailers.
The upper of the ANTA KAI 2 Solar Return features a black woven base, layered with intricate embroidery and multicolor accents. These vivid touches stretch across the toe cap and side panels, depicting wave patterns and scattered particle-like dots. The embroidered detailing is more elaborate than earlier Kai 2 models, drawing on themes of solar energy, movement, and time. Orange and yellow lines resemble shifting frequencies, while clusters of dots symbolize the presence of light in its smallest form.
This colorway introduces a number of new details not seen in previous iterations. The tongue and heel are marked with Kyrie’s personal logo, while the lateral midfoot displays a reworked version of the Anta emblem. The outsole features embedded particles in contrasting tones, giving a flecked appearance that mirrors the upper’s colorful complexity. A dual-color split on the sole adds depth and visual contrast.
