Scheduled for release in April 2025, this latest iteration continues New Balance’s recent focus on bringing archival designs back into the spotlight. Initially launched as a performance running sneaker, the model has found renewed interest through high-profile collaboration.
This particular “Dark Royal” variant showcases a distinctive color combination that sets it apart within the lineup. Its foundation is built on a deep black mesh underlay that forms a streamlined profile, accented by vibrant royal blue leather panels. The overlays wrap neatly around the upper, emphasizing the sneaker’s Y2K-era design cues through precise color blocking. The contrast between the dark mesh and vivid blue overlays creates visual clarity, emphasizing the layering characteristic of the 1000’s construction.
