PUMA has partnered with A$AP Rocky once more to introduce the Mostro Disccord, a fresh footwear release that embodies the creative director’s vision. Known for his ability to disrupt the status quo, Rocky continues to push boundaries with his collaborations. This latest release takes inspiration from PUMA’s rich archive while integrating modern technology and design elements that showcase Rocky’s unique style.

The Mostro Disccord features a striking triple-black design that merges archival tech with contemporary aesthetics. This new signature shoe incorporates PUMA’s iconic Disc System, which debuted in 1991, revolutionizing the laceless design by using internal wires to tighten the shoe for a custom fit. The Disc System, once used in running and basketball shoes, now makes its debut on a sneaker in Rocky’s collaboration. This design choice is a nod to PUMA’s heritage while adding a fresh, innovative twist.
Designed in collaboration with Jon Tang, PUMA’s lead Sportstyle Footwear designer, the Mostro Disccord is a modern reimagining of Rocky’s favorite archival style, the PUMA Mostro. The internal mechanism of the Disc System includes three components: the Side Unit, the Compression Unit, and the Closure Unit, all of which contribute to the sneaker’s innovative fit. The Closure Unit, in particular, allows wearers to adjust the fit with a simple turn and click, offering a personalized and comfortable experience.
PUMA’s Mostro Disccord joins Rocky’s growing line of footwear collaborations, which includes various takes on classic PUMA silhouettes. Each release embodies Rocky’s vision of merging streetwear, performance, and subversive design. Rocky has long expressed his desire to challenge conventional norms in fashion, and this collaboration is no exception.
Previous releases like the Mostro 3.D, the Inhale Mesh, and the Inhale Distressed have all drawn from PUMA’s archive but are elevated with Rocky’s signature design touches.
