The Air Jordan 11 Low Bred is set to release on April 26, 2025, delivering a design rooted in one of the most iconic moments in NBA history. Originally worn by Michael Jordan during the 1996 NBA Finals against the Seattle SuperSonics, the low-top version of the legendary sneaker resurfaces in its original color scheme of black, white, and varsity red.

SNEAKERS

The 2025 iteration of the Air Jordan 11 Low Bred mirrors the pair Jordan wore while securing his fourth NBA championship. Unlike previous low-top editions, this version replicates the model’s original build more closely, from its black ballistic mesh upper to the patent leather mudguard. A small red Jumpman logo appears on the black leather heel tab, and the number ‘23’ is stamped on the collar, maintaining the look of the OG release. The white Phylon midsole contrasts sharply with the rest of the upper, while a translucent red outsole reinforces the silhouette’s signature color blocking.

The mid-cut “Bred” has seen multiple retros over the years, but the low-cut variation worn by Jordan in the 1996 Finals has been far less accessible. This release marks the first time the exact low-top design reaches a wider audience in full family sizing. The Bred 11s will be available for adults at $190, with grade school pairs at $150, little kids at $80, and toddler sizes at $60.

Performance elements remain intact in this updated model. Full-length Air cushioning delivers responsiveness on impact, while a carbon fiber spring plate adds rigidity and propulsion during movement. The outsole features a clear rubber finish for grip, while the tongue displays the familiar “Jumpman Jordan” label woven into its center, a nod to the signature details of Bred Air Jordans.

Michael Jordan wore the low-top version of the Air Jordan 11 “Bred” during the 1996 NBA Finals, where the Chicago Bulls defeated the Seattle SuperSonics in a six-game series. That year, the Bulls finished the regular season with 72 wins. The sneaker on Jordan’s feet during that championship run was not the mid-cut design commonly seen in retros, but a rare low-top player exclusive.

The Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred” lands April 26 across Nike channels and select retailers. With its ties to a key moment in MJ’s career and design true to the original, it stands as one of the year’s most anticipated retro drops.
