MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon continue their collaboration with a new capsule for Spring 2025. Part of the SS25 AVP collection, the line explores speed, comfort, and modular design through Salomon’s athletic engineering and MM6’s off-center styling. The no-gender collection launches in two phases, on April 17 and May 8, across both brands’ online stores, flagships, and selected multi-brand retailers.
Designed for active movement and spontaneous layering, the capsule takes sportswear staples and reshapes them through technical detailing and unexpected silhouettes. MM6 introduces its play on shape and proportion across lightweight jackets, shorts, and mesh-based tops. Salomon reinforces the collection with high-performance fabrics and footwear that hold their own in both streetwear and sport environments.

The utilitarian MA-1 bomber appears in translucent windproof ripstop, finished with reflective taped seams and the collaborative logo on the chest. MM6 expands on its oversized proportions with a wide-cut short in lightweight, stretch ripstop with laser-cut hems. These pieces form the outer layer of a system built for flexibility, each item can be worn alone or stacked for added texture and contrast.
Underneath, the collection introduces a range of form-fitting tops and shorts crafted from Body Mapped Seamless, a bio-based polyamide developed for breathability and stretch. The material builds dimension through a mix of textural mesh and jacquard detailing. These pieces serve as a visual base layer, logo tanks, fitted t-shirts, and compression shorts form a close-to-skin foundation for the voluminous outerwear above.

Prints across the line nod to MM6’s visual language. Some t-shirts display Xerox-style photos of Salomon sneakers slung over the shoulders, while others feature safety pin graphics or oversized MM6 x Salomon logos across the chest and back. The design direction avoids literal sport references, instead reframing performance wear through graphic play and proportion shifts.
Salomon brings two footwear models to the collaboration. The new Spectur 2 road running shoe appears in monochrome black and pale sage green, both finishes constructed with advanced mesh layering. The color palette carries over into the collection’s apparel, allowing full looks to build from head to toe without repetition. The XT-4 Mule also returns in two new variations: one in a saturated cornflower blue with brown accents, the other in sun-faded whites. Each shoe retains its easy slip-on structure while integrating seasonal color updates that sit cleanly alongside the rest of the collection.

Accessories complete the capsule with items like the stretch ripstop running cap and the XT-15 backpack. The same fast-drying technical fabrics seen in the apparel make their way into the smaller items, keeping the material palette tight and functional. These pieces echo the collection’s themes of motion, texture, and adaptability.
The MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon capsule arrives in two drops. The first, releasing April 17, includes the ready-to-wear collection, the Spectur 2 in black, and the XT-4 Mule in Ultramarine. The second launch on May 8 adds the Spectur 2 in Sea Foam Green, the XT-4 Mule in White and Beige Haze, and the XT-15 Backpack. Each wave introduces new elements while extending the design logic of the previous release.
