Vivetta unveiled its Spring Summer 2026 collection with Sirens Just Wanna Have Fun, a dive into an underwater fantasy shaped by myth, irony, and humor. The show carried mermaids, pirates, and sea creatures into a surreal spectacle that celebrated transformation and play. Photographer Sohom Das documented the atmosphere behind the scenes exclusively for DSCENE Magazine, capturing the moments leading up to the show.
The siren served as Vivetta’s emblem of shifting identities, anchoring sailor tattoos reimagined as prints, balloon trousers with pirate swagger, and creatures attached like companions to the body. Signature collars returned in exaggerated “bling-bling” versions, while sculptural details, such as a hand clutching a scarf, added whimsy.
Fabric experimentation shaped the current of the season. Poplin dresses glimmered with mother-of-pearl buttons, terry cloth tailoring shimmered with sequined pinstripes, and lurex seahorses embroidered in lace met crabs and beaded sea anemones. The result felt like a treasure chest poured across the runway.
Shirts became the collection’s centerpiece. A tuxedo shirt lengthened into an evening gown, a mini dress reinterpreted the button-up, and sheath dresses sprouted capes that tied at the neck, waist, or shoulder. Everyday fabrics like jersey, nylon, and canvas appeared with couture finishes, while fishing net was reworked into luxury textiles with gilded tesserae.
Accessories deepened the immersion: fish-shaped bags, sculptural starfish and octopus jewelry, and pocket mirrors turned into jeweled crabs. Headwear drew from sailor codes, with shirts reimagined as turbans and raffia buckets transformed into charm-studded souvenirs. Footwear closed the aquatic fantasy. Gold sea urchin heels, striped beach sandals, and wedges rippling with nappa ruffles recalled waves in motion.
