Nowhere else does the conversation between North and South America feel as alive as in Miami Beach. This year’s edition expands that dialogue, mapping artistic exchange across borders, languages, and generations. From mid-century masters to digital pioneers, the fair redefines what “American art” means today, centering Latinx, Indigenous, and diasporic perspectives within a truly global context. “The 2025 edition foregrounds the multiplicity of American art, not as a single narrative but as a constellation of perspectives,” said Vincenzo de Bellis, Art Basel’s Chief Artistic Officer and Global Director of Fairs.

“Art Basel Miami Beach stands at the intersection of culture and the market, a platform where artistic vision and economic energy converge to define what comes next,” said Bridget Finn, Director of Art Basel Miami Beach. This year’s sectors, Galleries, Positions, Nova, and Survey, extend that ethos through curatorial depth, historical discovery, and geographic range. Meridians, curated by Yasmil Raymond, returns with the theme The Shape of Time, while the Conversations program opens with a day dedicated to art and sport, featuring celebrated athletes and thinkers.
A major debut this year, Zero 10, curated by Eli Scheinman and presented with the support of OpenSea, introduces a new platform dedicated to art of the digital era. Featuring 12 international exhibitors, it reframes how digital work is shown and collected, a prelude to its expansion across other Art Basel fairs in 2026.

The fair also introduces the Art Basel Awards, in partnership with BOSS, debuting the Gold Awards on December 4. Honoring 11 artists, institutions, and creative innovators, the initiative celebrates the figures shaping contemporary culture and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Art Basel Miami Beach extends far beyond its halls. A network of collaborations spanning fashion, design, technology, and hospitality activates the city, turning it into a laboratory of creative dialogue. It’s a reminder that the fair doesn’t just showcase the art of the Americas; it defines its global influence.
