Jane Wade enters The Riverbed for Spring Summer 2027, continuing the story that began at the mountain summit of the Fall Winter season. Glacial water travels into the creek as the collection returns to grounded earth, framing an afternoon by the river through ideas of physical release, outdoor exploration and amphibious femininity.
SPRING SUMMER 2027
The season follows Jane Wade’s participation in the CFDA x Google Fashion Fellowship. Wade spent the past season working with Google’s product and innovation teams to examine how technology can inform the brand’s design, production and show practices. Spring Summer 2027 brings the collaboration to its conclusion and incorporates Google’s “building for everyone” ethos into The Riverbed.

The collection imagines the body after a long trail run, leaving corporate life for a more instinctive experience outdoors. Tension fades in the current as the body rests beside the water. Technical fabrics cling like a second skin, carrying the shine of sunscreen and river water. Their surfaces respond to physical activity and the traces of a long day outside.
Compression, shine, erosion and softness guide the clothing. Jane Wade treats practical garments as emotional artifacts that retain signs of their environment. Survival tools enter the collection alongside delicate elements, acknowledging the danger present within the experience of outdoor adventure.

Amphibious femininity defines this relationship between body, clothing and environment. Protective elements coexist with exposed skin, while athletic references meet delicate treatments. The collection examines how clothing responds to water, unstable terrain and the physical requirements of exploration.
A creative partnership with Keen develops this idea through the water shoe. Jane Wade approaches the shoe as a functional object connected directly to The Riverbed. Its adaptable construction addresses wet and uneven terrain while reflecting the collection’s focus on protection, exposure, utility and transformation.
method brings personal care into the same environment. An essential body-care kit travels inside a dry bag and includes skin spritz face mist, simply nourish shampoo, conditioner and body wash. A rolled-towel harness secures method body wash. The partnership connects hydration, cleansing and personal care with amphibious femininity, treating self-care as part of time spent around water and outdoors.

Jane Wade also works again with Hydrojug, styling the brand’s hydration essentials through the Spring Summer 2027 concept. Hydrojug’s performance-focused approach meets Jane Wade’s sculptural design language in functional pieces informed by the tension between city routines and retreat into nature.
The collection extends its outdoor focus through a partnership with Keote. Compact bags follow a “leave no trace” mentality and provide a lightweight, functional solution designed for continued exploration beyond the show.
Jane Wade brings technical clothing, water, personal care and survival equipment into a single study of the body outdoors. Spring Summer 2027 follows the transition from mountain summit to creek, where physical exertion gives way to rest and clothing carries visible traces of water, terrain and time spent outside.
