Four years into the partnership, the collaboration continues to explore new approaches to technical footwear through distinct design perspectives. The Fall Winter 2026 collection revisits established silhouettes and earlier prototypes, introducing new materials, constructions, and color combinations that extend the collaboration into different areas of everyday dressing.

The first release arrives on October 22 and introduces new versions of the XT-MM6. The silhouette returns in fresh colorways, including a multicolored option and a deep urban green. Its design maintains the technical foundation associated with Salomon trail footwear, while MM6 brings its experimental approach to the shoe’s visual identity.
The XT-MM6 continues to explore the possibilities of outdoor footwear within a fashion context. Its recognizable construction provides the foundation for updated color treatments, allowing the collaboration to revisit an established design through a new seasonal perspective.

One of the collection’s main introductions is the MM6 CROSSDERBY, a new silhouette that combines the appearance of a traditional derby shoe with the technical construction of outdoor footwear. The design features a shiny black leather upper, giving it a polished profile that references classic everyday shoes.
Underneath, an outdoor sole incorporates Salomon technology, extending the derby’s functionality beyond conventional footwear design. The shoe also uses Salomon’s drawstring lacing system, bringing a recognizable technical element to its formal-inspired construction.

The CROSSDERBY represents a new direction for the collaboration, applying outdoor functionality to a silhouette that draws from established footwear categories. Its black leather finish maintains a restrained appearance, while the sole and fastening system introduce the technical details central to the partnership.
Alongside the footwear, the first release includes the return of the XT-15 Backpack. The updated accessory comes with a white rain cover featuring a black logo, continuing the collection’s focus on practical equipment.

The second release follows on November 17, introducing the MM6 XT-BOOT, which develops an earlier design from the collaboration. The boot features a soft inner shoe that wraps around the foot, providing a comfortable interior construction.
Its outer upper takes inspiration from the hood of a puffer jacket, introducing a flexible form that allows different ways of wearing the shoe. Wearers can leave the upper open around the calf or draw it inward to create a closer fit resembling an external sock.
The MM6 XT-BOOT arrives in three colorways: Vanilla Ice, Black, and Dusty Yellow. These options introduce different visual treatments to a silhouette that places adaptability and comfort at the center of its design.

Drop 2 also includes the ACS PRO 3, returning in two new color combinations. One version pairs Black with Green Gables, while another brings together Cosmic Sky, Heron, and Violet Tulip.
The MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon Fall Winter 2026 collection launches through the brands’ respective e-commerce platforms and stores, alongside select multi-brand retailers. The two releases arrive on October 22 and November 17, continuing the collaboration through technical footwear and new interpretations of established silhouettes.
