UNIQLO and JW Anderson introduce their Fall Winter 2026 collection, drawing inspiration from theater and academic culture to create a wardrobe that combines traditional clothing references with contemporary proportions and practical details. Announced in New York, the collaboration focuses on outerwear, knitwear, relaxed tailoring, and cold-weather essentials. The collection draws from traditional campus wardrobes, introducing updated proportions, distinctive patterns, and functional details for everyday dressing.
FALL WINTER 2026
Outerwear establishes the collection’s direction, with shorter lengths introducing updated proportions across several key pieces. The genderless Short Blouson features a cropped body and relaxed silhouette, offering a contemporary interpretation of a classic zip-up jacket. Its deep burgundy color adds richness to the design, while gathered cuffs and a gathered hem help define the shape.

For women, the Padded Short Jacket introduces generous volume through its boxy construction and soft padding. The charcoal design features oversized flap pockets, giving the jacket a practical quality while maintaining its distinctive proportions. These outerwear pieces establish the collection’s interest in adapting familiar garments to everyday dressing.
Additional jackets extend the selection of layering options. The men’s Windproof Fleece Jacket provides protection against colder conditions, while the women’s Fleece Short Blouson offers another interpretation of the cropped silhouette. Both designs prioritize comfortable fits and allow wearers to build layered outfits throughout the season.

The women’s Pleated Skirt introduces a different approach to volume and shape. Its asymmetric cut creates movement, bringing a tailored element to the collection’s relaxed wardrobe. The design reflects Anderson’s interest in adjusting traditional clothing forms through proportion and construction.
Knitwear draws directly from the collection’s academic references. The Lambswool Fair Isle Crew Neck Sweater features an oatmeal base with red and pale blue motifs, referencing traditional knitted patterns. V-neck sweaters and crew neck vests extend the collegiate influence through multiple colorways and graphic designs. These pieces provide options for layering with the collection’s shirts, jackets, and trousers.

The Flannel Boxy Shirt continues the focus on familiar wardrobe essentials. Its cream-and-black check pattern appears across a cropped silhouette with an open collar, creating a relaxed interpretation of classic flannel shirting. Straight Work Pants introduce functional everyday trousers, while faded, distressed Straight Jeans offer another casual option. Both styles feature relaxed, straight-leg cuts that complement the collection’s outerwear and knitwear.
Jonathan Anderson explained the creative direction behind the season, saying, “This season reflects the worldview of theater and academic culture, the intersections of unbound creativity. Building on traditional styles, we’ve created a collection that incorporates colors, patterns, and functionality to be enjoyed in a range of everyday settings.”

Accessories carry the collection’s academic references into cold-weather essentials. A forest green Wool Cashmere Beanie features a ribbed texture, while the navy Wool Cashmere Stole incorporates red and light blue stripes. A navy Shoulder Bag offers an everyday accessory, while HEATTECH Socks introduce additional patterns through argyle motifs, stripes, and two-tone color blocking.
The UNIQLO x JW Anderson Fall Winter 2026 collection launches on October 15, 2026, with the complete lineup available through 15 UNIQLO stores across the United States and online.
