The recently presented DROMe collection for the fall winter 2014 has taken the current trends and shaped them into a contemporary vision of today's menswear as well as womenswear.
We are in London, in an underground district of the City, far away from the magnificence of posh boutiques and pristine Regency architecture. The inspiration behind DROMe comes from a post-industrial area, a melting pot of culture and races, and a place where independent British music resides. The DROMe’s winter collection resonates in this scenario, in a strong and edgy imagery inspired by irreverent street-art, graffiti and illustrators who leave their unmistakable metamorphic marks on the urban walls. Through DROMe Marianna Rosati tells a story of radical femininity, imprecise but luxurious. The silhouettes are sophisticated and clean, broken up by very strong pop accents as graphic prints on nappa leather. – from DROMe
The dominant material in the collection is leather, which the up and coming label is presenting as their primary choice. The designer behind DROMe is the talented Marianna Rosati, previously she was researching leather materials and treatments both for the Santacroce and Neil Barrett.
