Italian label Missoni stays true to its spirit with the latest collection, shaped for the resort 2015 season.
The collection, in which knits play a key role, unmistakably revolves around the art of combining, contrasting and overlaying textures, patterns, prints and solid colors. It includes single- and double-breasted suits with slim masculine trousers, crewneck cardigans paired with coordinated shorts, and mini- and micro-dresses without sleeves or in a shirtwaist style. There are also long asymmetrical skirts in zigzag knits and black ankle-length dresses in sheer lace worn over tank dresses with colored stripes. The short designs have wide necks and elbow-length sleeves, and the long sleeveless versions have an asymmetrical hem, all in a silk animalier print. Several pants-and-blouson ensembles evoke track suits, while pullovers with deep V-necks, long-sleeve boat-neck T-shirts, and tank tops in space-dyed knits complete the collection. Framed and accentuated by borders in black knit bands, the models are sleek, linear, feminine styles that can go anywhere.
