Italian fashion house Marni presented their Chinese New Year special capsule collection, that pays tribute to the Year of the Mouse. The collection features the zodiac’s protagonist of 2020 – Mouse on a selection of womenwear looks and accessories.
“Blending Marni’s signatures with peppy design, the collection introduces denim jackets with shearling collars over trousers — both emblazoned with contrasting red pockets — paired with cotton poplin shirts in a delicate antiqued pink, enriched with red ruffles.
The little mouse emerges through intarsia motifs on knitted tops which mingle a palette of vibrant tones such as pink, red and mustard, as well as on socks and ribbed knit wool hats. It also appears on a series of printed cotton t-shirts showing the MARNI logo on the bag.
The collection introduces exclusive interpretation of the signature Earring bag, in a medium and small size, and in two new variations: backpack and pouch. Each bag is crafted in soft calfskin and animated by a round golden earring that embellishes the zipper, highlighting the sophisticated combinations of black-white and rose tones. The same hues also underscore wallets, phone pouches and vertical cross-body bags in soft leather.“
The collection will available at mono-brand boutiques and marni.com as well as at selected high-end retailers worldwide from the end of December.
