Natacha Ramsay-Levi is leaving Chloé after four years, she was at the helm of the fashion house from April 2017, when she succeeded Clare Waight Keller. Designer thanked the brand and her team for support, and explained that COVID-19 pandemic and social and economic turmoils are main reasons for her exit. Chloé‘s new creative director has yet to be named by the brand.

Over the last four years, I have had the great privilege, with the support of Chloé’s teams, to express my own creativity. I am very proud of what we have accomplished together with kindness, consistency and authenticity. I want to thank Chloé for this opportunity. I am equally thankful for their support in my decision to leave my position. During my last show in October, I have evoked the idea of risk as a possible value, and in this continuity, I allow myself the fantasy of believing in change.

Over the last months of health, social and economic turmoil, I have given thoughts to the changes I want to see in our industry and how to better align them with my own creative, intellectual and emotional values. It is this reflection that makes me consider my future differently and desire to pursue new opportunities. This house will remain the founding place of the emergence of the expression of my creativity, It is in this state of mind and carried by my deep respect for Chloe, that I turn towards a new future, which this house will have helped to illuminate. – Natacha Ramsay-Levi

Ramsay-Levi started her career in 2002 working at Balenciaga, after she worked as a consultant for several brands, she joined Louis Vuitton in 2013, where she was a key associate of Nicolas Ghesquière, she joined Chloé as creative director in 2017.
