District Vision, the West Coast-based eyewear brand known for its commitment to performance optics for athletes, has once again teamed up with athletic giant New Balance for their third collaborative venture. This latest collaboration highlights the FuelCell Supercomp Elite v4, a race shoe that blends style with high-end performance features. Released as part of New Balance’s Grey Days collection, the collaboration also includes a capsule of performance wear staples designed for comfort and efficiency.
The FuelCell Supercomp Elite v4 is an iteration pulled from New Balance’s own lineup and reimagined by District Vision. The shoe incorporates a blocky sole complemented by a slimmer carbon plate, a design twist that leverages New Balance’s technology to offer a durable yet cushioned build. The upper part of the shoe is entirely mesh, promoting breathability and flexibility during intense physical activities. In terms of aesthetics, the shoe maintains a minimalistic approach with subtle branding; District Vision’s logo is printed near the heel, and the New Balance logo is discreetly integrated into the monochromatic design.
SNEAKERS
This release features two colorways: a solid black and a light gray, each designed to appeal to different consumer preferences while maintaining a unified aesthetic across the collection. Both colorways employ a sophisticated palette that ensures the sneakers can transition from the track to casual wear without missing a beat.
Accompanying the sneakers, the apparel line-up is equally noteworthy. It includes lightweight, moisture-wicking garments ranging from a vintage-style rugby shirt to a waterproof wind jacket. These pieces are crafted to support pre-race preparation and recovery, with colors like deep blue and bright yellow making the collection stand out. Notably, the apparel features minimal branding, sticking to the collection’s sleek design.
