Cotte D’Armes, helmed by designer Clarence Ruth, appeared on New York Fashion Week schedule with its debut solo show for the Spring Summer 25 collection. Held on September 9th at The Ned NoMad, the event attracted an audience of over 150, featuring prominent guests such as Anthony Ramos, Chris Klemens, and AP Dhillon. This presentation highlighted the brand’s vision for high-end independent fashion, setting a tone for future collections.

The Spring Summer 2025 collection introduced a luxurious, partially unisex line that combines utilitarian elements with elegance. Cotte D’Armes aims to provide a fresh perspective that resonates with a diverse audience, rethinking what high fashion can represent in today’s society.

A remarkable aspect of this collection is the commitment to sustainability, with 85% of the garments crafted from upcycled fabrics and materials. By prioritizing sustainability, Cotte D’Armes is taking steps toward a more responsible fashion industry, drastically minimizing waste.

Technology played a key role in the collection, particularly with the introduction of LED lighting in the “hip dresses.” This integration showcases a willingness to explore new ideas and techniques in fashion design. Each garment incorporates practical features, such as button-off pants and removable sleeves.

The color red serves as a significant motif in this collection, influenced by Clarence Ruth’s upbringing in the church. This choice symbolizes the blood of Christ, giving the collection with a personal meaning. Additionally, the chameleon-printed suit is inspired by the adaptability of humans in varying environments.

In addition to its innovative designs, Cotte D’Armes partnered with brands like Poppi, Hamptons Water, Voss, and Youthforia for the show. Guests enjoyed curated beverages while models received makeup treatments backstage. See all the looks from the Cotte D’Armes Spring Summer 25 collection in the gallery below:
