Izumi Ogino presents Anteprima Fall Winter 2025.26 collection at Milan Fashion Week, unveiling a collaboration with contemporary Japanese artist Izumi Kato. Known for his enigmatic figures that blend human and abstract elements, Kato inspires a collection that transforms clothing into an expressive medium. The collection builds on the concept of “Modern Primitive,” combining authentic craftsmanship with contemporary design. Cherry lacquer and deep purple introduce a sense of mystery, while beige and light pink offer softness and sentimentality.
Silhouettes emphasize fluidity and ease, favoring oversized and unisex shapes that invite movement. The alpaca-blend sweater, featuring mandarin ducks and alien-like faces from Kato’s art, exemplifies the concept of wearable art. A ribbed velvet-effect knit coat, oversized and gender-neutral, continues this theme.
