Charli XCX teams up with Converse for a limited-edition customization drop, offering fans a short window to create their own Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers through the “Converse x Charli XCX By You” experience. Launching August 5, the three-day event invites customization rooted in Charli’s Brat era, with design options curated directly by the artist herself.

The project focuses entirely on personalization. Fans select from five base colors, Black, White, Brown Rice, Winter Sky, and Bridal Rose, and layer details that reference Charli’s visual and lyrical world. Distressed uppers, printed rips, and trompe l’oeil effects give each pair the feel of lived-in gear, built for chaos rather than perfection.
Charli’s references run throughout the design platform. License plate-style heel tags offer options like XCX, 365, Angel, and Party Girl. Brat and Party Girl outsole graphics add hidden nods underfoot, while removable patches provide further layering of lyrics and themes for those familiar with her music. Heel charms in lock-and-key shapes, etched with “Brat,” draw directly from her Pop 2-era track “Unlock It.” A lime-green insole completes the look, placing her signature palette inside the shoe as a quiet detail.
Petra Collins captures Charli for the accompanying campaign. The images keep the focus on Charli’s connection to the product, framing the sneakers as extensions of her personal style rather than promotional objects. The shoot leans into mood and identity rather than performance, aligning the campaign visuals with the ethos behind the design choices.
Charli refers to her fans as “Charli’s Angels,” and this release mirrors that relationship, building out a world her followers can inhabit through their own decisions. The collection drops exclusively on the Converse website beginning August 5 at 10 a.m. EST, priced at $100 USD. Customization remains open for only three days, ending August 8. With no restocks planned, the platform offers a brief opportunity to take part in a sneaker design shaped by both artist and fan.
