Ed Sheeran and KidSuper launched the Play Capsule Collection in Brooklyn, bringing together music and fashion through a project that bridges Sheeran’s latest album with Colm Dillane’s distinctive design style. The release follows the launch event held on September 11th at KidSuper Studios in Williamsburg, just as Sheeran prepared to unveil his new album.
Sheeran created Play during a period of transformation, writing across continents and finishing the record during a month-long stay in Goa, India. The album speaks to joy reclaimed and the rhythm of living without hesitation. His collaboration with Dillane extends that message into clothing, turning music into something tactile.

Dillane, the creative force behind KidSuper, has built his label into an unpredictable playground. He moves easily between mediums, transforming brushstrokes into tailoring, soccer jerseys into showpieces, and film experiments into runway moments. For him, fashion acts as an open invitation where ideas constantly shift. Sheeran shares this openness in his songwriting, where personal reflection becomes something universal.
The Play Capsule presents limited-edition items that echo the themes of Sheeran’s album while carrying Dillane’s hand-drawn details. The graphics feel spontaneous, like sketches lifted from a notebook, while embroidery carries the intimacy of personal memory. T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, and hats fill the lineup, each one shaped by both Sheeran’s lyricism and Dillane’s playful eccentricity. The range bridges music, stagewear, and streetwear in a way that feels fluid and direct.

Sheeran expressed excitement for this new direction: “I’ve loved working with Colm on this capsule collection. When we first started talking, I realized that there was a lot of similarities in the way we approach our work, and the feel of KidSuper mirrors what my new album Play is all about. I love the spirit of the pieces we’ve designed – it’s all fun, and Colm has helped bring the joy and freedom of Play to life. We’ve had a lot of fun creating the pieces, and this is a first for me, so I’m really pleased I got to do it with KidSuper. X”
For Dillane, the collection ties back to his belief that creativity thrives when left open. “When you are little, you believe you can do anything and that everything is possible,” he has said. Sheeran echoes that perspective, describing joy as the essential work of adulthood.

The Play Capsule marks Sheeran’s first foray into fashion collaboration, and it captures the meeting point of two creative voices. Prices span from $35 to $150, and the capsule is available while supplies last at KidSuper Studios’ Williamsburg store.
