adidas Originals x Willy Chavarria Introduce the Megaride

The Chavarria Megaride debuts on the Paris runway with sculptural form, layered materials, and a futuristic edge.

The Chavarria Megaride marks the latest chapter in the ongoing dialogue between adidas Originals and Willy Chavarria, debuting on the runway during Paris Fashion Week Fall Winter 2026. The sneaker arrives as a focused extension of Chavarria’s broader universe, where athletic codes, personal narrative, and cultural presence intersect. The Megaride AG reframes a familiar adidas franchise through material weight, sculptural form, and an assertive sense of identity.

Available in Black and Cream, the Chavarria Megaride draws visual energy from imagined intergalactic environments. The silhouette feels dense and intentional, with layered construction that suggests movement beyond the ground. Mesh bases anchor both versions, while translucent TPU overlays introduce depth and dimensional contrast. These elements do not sit as surface decoration. They shape how the shoe reads in motion, catching light, reflecting surroundings, and reinforcing the idea of constant transformation.

The Black colorway presents the most technical expression of the design. Silver metal mesh appears beneath translucent overlays, creating a subtle tension between opacity and exposure. Reflective elements activate the shoe under shifting light, while suede accents at the toe and heel add tactile contrast. The outsole combines translucent putty grey with hits of red foam, injecting controlled energy beneath the otherwise restrained palette. Branding remains precise, with “Chavarria” appearing reflectively on the tongue and the double adidas logo placed discreetly on the sock liner.

The Cream colorway shifts the mood without altering the structure. A soft cream mesh base sets a calmer foundation, complemented by translucent TPU overlays that maintain the shoe’s layered architecture. Suede returns at the toe and heel, grounding the lighter palette, while subtle red accents on the outsole echo the Black version’s undercurrent of intensity. Here, “Chavarria” appears in a matte finish down the tongue, reinforcing the designer’s preference for clarity over excess.

At the core of the sneaker sits adidas’ Megaride cushioning system, a defining feature of the franchise. The technology supports the shoe’s sculptural build, delivering stability and responsiveness while reinforcing its futuristic profile. This balance between performance heritage and expressive form positions the Megaride AG as both wearable and conceptual, capable of moving comfortably between runway context and everyday use.

Branding throughout remains measured. Logos never overpower the design, allowing materials, proportions, and structure to lead. This restraint aligns closely with Chavarria’s broader approach, where strength and individuality emerge through presence rather than spectacle. The Megaride AG carries that philosophy forward, translating it into footwear that feels assertive without forcing attention.

On the Paris runway, the Megaride AG appeared alongside other adidas and Chavarria footwear experiments, including Megaride Copa, Megaride Bones, and an early look at a reworked Predator football cleat. The presentation placed the sneaker within a wider cultural and athletic framework, reinforced by appearances from footballers Marcelo Vieira and Rodrigo Huescas, skater Marcos Montoya, and a community of creatives connected to Chavarria’s world.

The adidas Originals x Willy Chavarria Megaride AG releases globally on January 30, 2026, via the CONFIRMED app, adidas.com, and select retailers.
