Brain Dead teams up with adidas again for a two part Samba release centered on animal prints and bowling footwear references. The Los Angeles creative collective introduces “Cheetah” and “Snakeskin” editions, giving the indoor football sneaker a more exaggerated visual direction through premium textiles, large overlays and tactile surface treatments.

Both designs begin with the familiar Samba silhouette and apply details inspired by archival bowling shoes. Brain Dead enlarges the overlays and places them over textile uppers, creating a heavier graphic structure around the shoe. The collective then gives each version its own animal pattern, using faux hair for one pair and a textured faux snakeskin effect for the other. Cream Three Stripes and glossy black leather details connect the two editions through a shared palette.
The “Cheetah” Samba places a spotted pattern over its faux hair upper. The material gives the print a visibly tactile finish and pushes the animal theme through the main body of the shoe. Cream colored Three Stripes cross the sides and introduce a lighter element against the spotted textile. Brain Dead adds glossy black leather to the heel and tongue, then completes the design with a black sole.
The “Snakeskin” edition follows the same construction while changing the central texture. Brain Dead covers the upper with a faux snakeskin effect and uses the patterned material as the main visual feature. Cream striped overlays continue along the sides, and black leather details repeat the color treatment from the “Cheetah” pair.
Bowling footwear provides the collaboration with its main design reference. Brain Dead uses exaggerated overlays to reinterpret the Samba without removing its recognizable side stripes or indoor football foundation. The enlarged shapes give the animal materials more space across the upper and create a clear structure for the spotted and snakeskin patterns.
Co-branded tongue tags and Brain Dead graphics complete both designs without distracting from the animal prints. The release extends the partnership through two Samba editions that share the same structure, materials and color treatment while giving each pair a separate visual identity.
