Erin Magee has left Supreme after 22 years with the New York streetwear label, ending one of the longest tenures within the company’s creative team. The Chief Creative Officer announced her departure on Instagram and shared a series of images from her years at the brand. “It has been the honor of a lifetime to be part of the World Famous Supreme Team,” Magee wrote.

NEWS

Magee joined Supreme in 2004 and went on to hold several roles within the company. During her time at the label, she contributed to the development and direction of many of its best-known products and collaborative projects. Her long tenure placed her within Supreme during a period that saw the company develop from its New York roots into one of the most recognized names in streetwear.

Her departure closes a major chapter within Supreme’s creative department. Magee spent more than two decades working within the company and eventually became Chief Creative Officer, giving her a key role in its creative direction. Supreme has not announced who will take over the position following her exit.

Outside Supreme, Magee founded the women’s streetwear label Mademe in 2007. She launched the project while continuing her work at Supreme and has developed it through a series of collaborations. Magee has not announced what she plans to do following her Supreme departure. Her work with Mademe gives her an established independent project outside the company, though she has yet to confirm whether the label will become her primary focus.

VF Corporation acquired Supreme in 2020, bringing the independent streetwear label into its portfolio. The company has since gone through several leadership and ownership changes. Tremaine Emory left his Creative Director role in 2023, and the position has remained vacant. In 2024, VF Corporation sold Supreme to EssilorLuxottica, four years after acquiring the label.

Magee’s exit now adds another change at the creative level. Her 22-year tenure connected several periods in Supreme’s development, from her arrival in 2004 through major ownership changes and shifts within its design leadership. Her Instagram announcement focused on her years with the company and the team she worked alongside. The departure leaves Supreme without the Chief Creative Officer who helped guide its creative work for more than two decades.

For now, the company has not named a successor. Supreme also continues without a Creative Director following Emory’s 2023 departure, leaving questions around how the label will organize its creative leadership after Magee’s exit.
