Kith, Giorgio Armani and ASICS have revealed their collaborative GEL-Mai 0.1, bringing three distinct design approaches together through a silhouette closely associated with Ronnie Fieg. The project introduces Giorgio Armani to an established relationship between Kith and ASICS, with a focus on material selection, subtle branding and the technical features of the original footwear design. The release also continues Fieg’s work with the Italian fashion house, following their previous collaborations across tailoring and sportswear.

The first preview of the GEL-Mai 0.1 emerged during Kith’s annual trip to Marrakech, where the three-way collaboration offered an early look at its design direction. The official reveal now provides a closer look at the sneaker, which pairs a neutral grey upper with navy-toned GEL cushioning. The restrained color palette directs attention toward the shoe’s construction, particularly its asymmetrical shape and shaggy suede exterior.

The collaboration follows a series of projects between Kith and Giorgio Armani. In 2024, the two brands introduced “The Archetype,” a collection centered on suiting. Their partnership subsequently extended into New York Knicks apparel, bringing Giorgio Armani into another category within Kith’s expanding range of collaborative projects.

For this release, the partners selected the ASICS GEL-Mai 0.1, a model that Fieg previously revisited through his own design work. Its asymmetrical construction gives the sneaker a distinctive profile, providing a recognizable foundation for the collaboration. The choice also connects the new project to Fieg’s existing history with ASICS, making the GEL-Mai 0.1 a familiar starting point for the three brands.

The upper features premium shaggy suede in a neutral grey shade. Its textured surface introduces depth across the shoe while maintaining a consistent color treatment. The material choice reflects the influence of Giorgio Armani, whose approach to tailoring informs the collaboration’s refined visual direction. The grey finish keeps the focus on the suede’s texture and the irregular proportions of the GEL-Mai 0.1.

Navy-toned GEL units appear along the midsole, introducing a technical detail that contrasts with the suede upper. These exposed cushioning elements retain an important part of the ASICS design identity while adding another color to the otherwise neutral sneaker. Their placement makes the midsole a key visual feature, connecting the model’s performance origins with the material choices of the new edition.

The partners have also kept the branding discreet. Co-branding appears directly below the ankle collar, where the stamped detailing identifies the three-way project without dominating the upper.

The GEL-Mai 0.1 represents the latest development in the relationship between Ronnie Fieg and Giorgio Armani, extending their previous work into an ASICS model that already holds a place in Fieg’s footwear history. Its grey suede construction, asymmetrical profile and exposed navy cushioning define the collaboration’s appearance. Kith x Giorgio Armani x ASICS GEL-Mai 0.1 is expected to arrive soon through Kith stores and Kith’s online store.
