Nike and Kids Of Immigrants Launch Two Tiempo Designs on November 19

The founders’ Honduran and Liberian roots inspire a football boot and a street shoe in shades of yellow

Nike and Kids Of Immigrants are releasing two Tiempo designs that bring the partnership onto the football pitch and into everyday wear. The Tiempo Maestro Elite is the performance boot, marking the collaborators’ first move into footwear built for competitive football. The Tiempo Streetgato joins it as a companion shoe for the streets and neighborhood games. Both draw inspiration from the mountainous terrain of Honduras and Liberia, the homelands of founders Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis, with a global release scheduled for November 19.

Yellow connects the two pairs, continuing a color direction familiar from Kids Of Immigrants’ earlier Nike work. The label previously used warm gradient tones on its “Sundial” Air Max Sunder. Here, that palette carries into two different constructions, with terrain references connecting the footwear to the founders’ backgrounds. The collection builds on their shared interest in football as a way for people from different countries and generations to come together.

The Tiempo Maestro Elite takes those references onto the pitch. Yellow shifts into orange across the upper, with dark midfoot panels and raised contours that draw from the mountainous terrain behind the project. A small red Swoosh sits on the side, while Kids Of Immigrants lettering appears near the forefoot. The arrangement makes room for both brands without relying on the large Swoosh usually associated with Nike football boots.

An iridescent soleplate adds blue, purple, and green beneath the warmer upper. FlyTouch leather provides touch and control, giving the boot its performance foundation. The Maestro introduces a new use for the collaboration’s design ideas, putting the founders’ references into footwear intended for play at the highest level.

The Tiempo Streetgato brings the collection into a different setting. Yellow suede covers most of the upper, with dark protective overlays around the toe and heel. Those added guards create a more layered shape around the base of the shoe. Red lining and neon green accents interrupt the yellow, and a reduced Swoosh leaves space for Kids Of Immigrants branding beside the laces. Shared logos also appear on the tongue and insoles.

The Streetgato follows the partners’ earlier experiments with football footwear for everyday use. Their T90 Mule, released earlier this year, turned the Total 90 into a backless shoe with references to the chancla. That project also connected to Nike’s TOMA platform through The Hill, a Los Angeles experience centered on football and local youth. The new collection continues that relationship with a street shoe alongside a fully equipped performance boot.

Both the Nike Tiempo Maestro Elite x Kids Of Immigrants and Nike Tiempo Streetgato x Kids Of Immigrants arrive first at the Kids Of Immigrants flagship in Los Angeles on November 7. An online release at kidsofimmigrants.us follows November 17, before the global launch on November 19 through SNKRS, nike.com, and select retailers.
