Construcion of this 2,400 seats philharmonie had been postponed for about 20 years, in 2007, Jean Nouvel won the architecture competition for the construction of the auditorium. The philharmonie de Paris, should complete the Cite de la musique in 2010, it will mainly serve for great symphonic formation, but it will also present other forms of musical expressions, such as jazz and world music.
