Recently revealed first image of the new Library of Birmingham designed by Mechanoo Architecten for the price of £193 million, the building is scheduled to open in 2013. The 31 000 sq metres library will be capable of taking up to 10 000 visitors a day, it is a flagship project of the Big City Plan, determined to regenerate the city, which is planned to drive forward the next 20 years of development, the £17 billion investment plan aims to create 43 000 jobs for citizens of Birmingham.
