W Hotels has officially opened their first property in South America – W Santiago, Grand Opening of W Santiago, taking place on November 17. Part of Isidora 3000, a massive mixed-use complex in the El Golf district of Chile, featuring convention center, boutique office space, and high-end retail shops. A modern take on the varied Chilean landscape by New York designer Tony Chi and native Chilean designer Sergio Echeverria, the property’s cutting edge design is shaped by Santiago’s vibrant culture through the use of color, texture and sound. The 90 foot wide private, gated entrance features a lush garden lush private garden complete with 50-foot trees cultivated from southern Chile with music and sound effects to evoke the feeling of home through the sounds of Chile.
