Au Jour Le Jour presented the women’s spring summer 2018 collection at Milan Fashion Week. The collection was a diversion of the classic style. The garments were deconstructed and reassembled creating reversed and modified silhouettes. “Sleeveless dresses, long-sleeved reversible tops, matching shirts and tank dresses; the blazer or the maxi chemise become a skirt, the collar a top or the mini skirt a corset.” But the central focus of the collection is in the detail; crystal embroidery like fine-tailored stitches and highlighted seam lines. “And so, without taking themselves too seriously, the clothes reinvent themselves, inverting lines, mimicking, rearranging the clothes in an interplay of reversibility.”
