Discover Miaoran‘s Fall Winter 2019.20 Collection, a love letter to Milano seen through a foreign eye, presented on January 13th, during the recently finished Milan Fashion Week.

“Photos taken on casual strolls around the city are blown up and film printed onto clothes, while Chinese motifs are printed on the inside, or turned into macro jacquards on knits. Washed denim in big shapes provides a workwear tingle. Milan’s smog leaves a dusty patina over coats as the familiar is subverted playing with proportions and textures.
The amalgamation of purple, charcoal, rust, dusty blue and burnt orange is lit up by sudden touches of dirty white and acidic yellow. Wool, mohair, viscose/wool, wool/silk, tartan wool are fused into subtle mixes of textures.
Milano, according to Miao Ran, is quite a sober place, with subdued exuberance.“
